May 13th 2020 Covid 19 Update
The cases in the north slowly seem to be getting under control let’s hope this continues.
Talked with transit about the reopen Saskatoon transit plan, it goes in steps that will be determined by city council in a report that should be going in-front of council May 25th, it includes vinyl barriers, limited loads, reintroducing fare and no mask no ride.
We will be taking a look at the vinyl barrier prototype that’s been installed on one of our buses tomorrow, I’ll try to get some pictures and post them.
Fit for duty forms are currently being filled out by some office staff and maintenance staff, I filled one out from my phone it was fairly quick about one minute or so, for those that don’t want to fill out the form on your form staff will be at the entrance to the COC to help get it done manually starting sometime next week.
There was some confusion with the access cleaners on the downtown terminal, they were handed a radio and given barely any instructions, they thought they were to clean when called, I think that’s worked out, but if you do want to contact them they’re on Charter 1 if you need to arrange a cleaning if you’ve been missed. We’ve also been told possibly in the coming weeks we will have more Cupe 59 cleaners coming our way. Thanks to all the cleaners what your doing is preventing others from getting sick we thank you for that.
Remember everyone wear your PPE these coming weeks and months are crucial for us to stop the spread and stay healthy!!
