April 20th 2020 Covid 19 Update

1 new case and a bunch of recoveries this is definitely going in the right direction!

We spoke to the employer about a few things that have come up:

We suggested they use our Relief Supervisors to help with the “joy riders” after a difference of opinion on a few issues we’ll follow up with them tomorrow, we also suggested bringing up the Access Transit supervisors that are at home during this time we were told they’re being given other duties, we’ll be pushing this with the city manager on Thursday.

We suggested doing a social distancing stuff the bus to raise food donations for the food bank in this time of need, we’ll let you know where that goes when we have more info.

The of someone coughing or sneezing all over the seats was brought up, you can get a changeover but sometimes that takes awhile we’re looking at getting some way of blocking off the contaminated area until a changeover can happen, any input would be great!

The issue of Artics on runs that aren’t busy has come up, if you are getting an Artic and you don’t need it let Comm know the more you info you give them the more likely you’re going to stop getting an Artic.

We were able to get more masks over the weekend with a promise of 9000 more coming in over the next few weeks, the generosity of the Chinese Community has been incredible!!

Keep doing what your doing out there as front line transit professionals!!
