May 15th 2020 Covid 19 Update

Today there was 8 new cases today all of them in the north, let’s hope this gets under control and quickly for the north.

We tested the barriers out yesterday I was pretty surprised with the quality and the ease of use, we confirmed today that 150 were ordered and should start showing up next week and installation will begin as soon as they arrive.

A second cloth mask should’ve been put in all the conventional operators mailboxes, maintenance and customer service are being dispersed by the section managers.

May’s membership meeting is cancelled, the international is making a determination on June and July, however even though we can’t have official membership meetings, the executive is looking at setting up a virtual meeting or town hall through Zoom stay tuned for a date and time.

We are slowly getting used to the new normal of doing business with the employer, we had a pre-grievance discussion today and it went pretty smooth, we are going to attempt to get back to some more of our regular business and push forward with this new way of doing business.

Starting Wednesday May 20th the FIT FOR DUTY FORMS will need to be filled out before working, I know this seems extreme but our legal says that considering the circumstances the request to fill out the form is not unreasonable. There will be a few Access Members sitting at the COC with the form to be filled out and confirming those that filled out online:

https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=FowR9P6FDkSL8lc8yMa0...

You’ll need to login with your City email to Access the form online.

Those that signon DT you’ll need to call 306-975-3106 to confirm or simply use a radio and call Comm.

Very important we need to know every single issue your having on the bus because of lack of supervisors, we need to know about drunks, trouble makers, joy riders and any issue that you had on the bus, the employer is saying very minimal issues are being reported and they cant support putting more supervisors on at night to provide support to the operators. Send your incidents to [email protected] or post here or text or message any executive board member, don’t think your bothering us with your issues we want to know about as much as we can it’s the only way we’ll get the support we’re asking for.( I’ll post this in another separate post so it doesn’t get buried)
