Man facing charges following assault on Saskatoon bus

SASKATOON - A 29-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges following an assault on a City of Saskatoon Transit bus.

Police received a report of a disturbance on the bus in Saskatoon at approximately 12 p.m. on Sept. 4.

Passengers reported that a man was attempting to strike people with a leather belt. 

When police arrived, witnesses were able to direct the officers from the stopped bus to an address in the 400 block of Ottawa Avenue where the suspect was located and arrested.

Two male victims received very minor injuries.

The 29-year-old male suspect is charged with two counts of assault.
