A Saskatoon man was taken to hospital on Wednesday night after someone broke into his privately-owned bus and beat his head with a metal object.
Officers were called to the scene of the assault in the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive just after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a Saskatoon Police Service news release.
They found the man suffering from a head injury when they arrived, and he was taken to hospital by paramedics.
Investigators say the victim was inside his privately-owned bus when an unknown man entered the bus and asked for change.
“When the victim declined, the suspect struck him multiple times in the head with a metal object,” police said.
The serious assault unit is investigating.
