Two injuries, one arrest after Wednesday assault on Saskatoon city bus
A 29-year-old man was arrested shortly after an assault on a Saskatoon Transit bus on Wednesday afternoon.
City police received a report of a disturbance on a bus around noon, a Thursday news release said.
“Passengers reported that a male was attempting to strike people with a leather belt.”
Two male victims suffered minor injuries, the release added.
Officers arrived at the stopped bus and spoke with witnesses who were able to direct them to an address in the 400 block of Ottawa Avenue.
The suspect was quickly found and arrested. He is charged with two counts of assault.
