April 9th 2020 Covid 19 Update

Today we had 7 new case and 12 recoveries, maybe just maybe we’re flattening the curve, I just hope people are staying isolated this Easter weekend and not going out to events with people other than those in your household.

We had discussions with the employer about the concerns we’re hearing that are coming up.

April 8th 2020 Covid 19 Update

Well as most of you heard we have had 11 new cases but 15 recoveries that’s still great news!!

Today with the employer we discussed supervisors loading passengers while the operator is out of the bus, we told them this needs to stop, they didn’t understand why the supervisors were doing this and they were going to find out.

April 7th Covid 19 Update

We had 7 new cases today but 7 recoveries things are looking positive let’s hope this keeps up!

We had more discussions with the employer today on concerns that have been brought up.

April 6th 2020 Covid 19 Update

We had 4 section 3-31’s called and all 4 were denied by the provincial OHS, all 4 are being appealed.

We still have 12 members in isolation/quarantine, 8 have been tested and all have come back negative, thank goodness for that!

We had discussions with the employer on quite a few issues that have come up over the last few days.

On the members with cracked bleeding hands from the sanitizer get a hold of me we’re working on a solution for you. I know Giles Procyshyn was one if there’s others let me know.

April 3rd 2020 Covid 19 Update

We were able to coordinate with Lucky Bastard Distillers this week and acquired some fresh off the still hand sanitizer, we searched the city for spritzer containers to hold the sanitizer but came up empty handed, we were able to get some containers shipped in, we got them labeled and filled and out all in one day, these spritzer bottles should’ve been what the employer used, when they first put them in the buses we suggested the spritzer bottles, but they said this all they could find, within the city we couldn’t find them either but once we looked a bit harder it was pretty easy to find t

April 2nd 2020 Covid 19 Update

Today sadly we pushed past 200 Covid 19 cases, we do have 34 recoveries which is great news!

Across Canada and The United States we have approximately 260 members infected with Covid 19, we are also up to 6 deaths due to this virus.

April 1st 2020 Covid 19 Update

Me like the rest of you were probably hoping someone would jump out and yell April Fools, unfortunately that didn’t happen so the fight must go on against Covid 19!


We currently have 3 section 3-31’s outstanding that the province has yet to address but will be in the upcoming weeks, there now has been 2 section 3-31’s that have been denied by the province and is currently being appealed.

March 31st 2020 Covid 19 Update

We currently have 12 members in isolation due to symptoms or travel, 5 have been tested all have come back negative, thank goodness for that! We also have had members return to work that were in isolation and others slowly returning to work.

We currently have 4 section 3-31’s outstanding that the province has yet to address but will be in the upcoming weeks, the in section 3-31 that was denied by the province is currently being appealed.
